💪Why Does My Elbow Pop?

⚠️Occasional elbow popping can be quite normal , but when it is persistent it could mean underlying issues that may require treatment.

⚡️The joints contain fluid filled sacs that release gas bubbles when there is a change in position. The change in volume and position causes a popping or cracking noise called cavitation.

👉Causes

🔷Instability-scapular dyskinesis and weak wrists

🔷Injury-sprains, tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, tendinitis, bursitis

🔷Old scar tissue

🔷Inflammation of the tendons, ligaments and nerves

🔷Arthritis (caused by one of the above)

✳️Exercises

🔹Brachial Plexus stretch-the crease of the elbow should face forward

🔹Scapular push up on wall-creases of the elbows face each other

🔹Setting the scapula on the back-move the scapula towards the spine

🔹Cat Dog scapular push up-creases of the elbows face each other

✳️Perform 10 reps, paying attention to the position of the elbow.
