The muscles on the side of the neck anchor the head to the shoulders, and often become tight and imbalanced from our daily postures. This can lead to neck pain, stiffness and headaches.
Stretching this area while providing slight resistance and motion can provide a massaging effect on the muscles. This stretches the fascia of the head and neck, thereby reducing tension and nerve compression.
Try this exercise next time you feel a headache coming on.
It feels so good!
