Reduce Slumped shoulders with this stretch
Those with slumped or rounded shoulders get tight and short in the front of their shoulders and thoracic spine.
Prayer stretch is a great stretch for the lats. The latissimus dorsi (lats) is a large muscle group in the mid and lower back, but actually attaches to the front of the shoulder. When tight and short, it can affect shoulder function and overhead motion.
This exercise and its variations open and relax the muscles in the front of the shoulders and in the spine to help decrease the aches, pains and stiffness from slumped postures.
Save and share. This stretch can be done daily!
