These three areas are common spots where muscle tension can cause irritated nerves


Temple

Occipital ridge (Suboccipital)


Apply a circular motion at the temples for 1 minute. Work along the temporalis muscle borders and belly as shown in the video with the red arc for 2 minutes. Just behind the ear is a bony prominence called the mastoid process. Drop down and back from the tip and apply pressure for a few seconds. Then move under the base of your skull along the occipital ridge, pushing forward and slightly upward for a minute or two.


This can be helpful in relieving tension that triggers pressure and pinching of the suboccipital nerves.
