DON’T GO TO BED WITH A HEADACHE

Pain and stiffness in the neck and headache can make it difficult to get a good night’s rest. You may toss and turn and find yourself in many positions that may cause increased strain on the neck.


Failing to get adequate rest and sleeping in the wrong position can intensify headache pain.


Sleeping wrong on your neck is one of the top causes of headache pain and often what I have patients complain of in my office.


Try this before bed routine when you have a headache

Mobility of neck, upper back and spine to increase blood flow and reduce stiffness

Hydrate!

Essential oils can be rubbed on the wrists, neck or inhaled

Lavender lotion rubbed on the bottoms of the feet and body

Get your neck in extension

Eye pillow
